Any therapy approach is just theory unless it could be applied in practice.
Any psychology and counselling qualification is meaningless unless you can connect and build a trusting and comfortable rapport with the therapist. Therapy is a process that can help you find out what you are looking for and seek resolutions to issues that have been bothering you. A sense of understanding and trust that are bounded with life goals is how I will journey together with you.
As a trained psychotherapist in evidenced-based therapy approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy with a focus in positive psychology through mindfulness and resilience, my objective is to help you discover yourself and what works best for you as an authentic individual. Creating a therapeutic alliance with you to uncover insights of your inhibited mind.
Life Experience in Practice
If one has not gone through poverty, one may not understand the days and nights of hunger without food.
So if one has not gone through the anguish, will one be able to fully appreciate the emotional aspects.
Not every therapist has to go through dire circumstances to understand the challenges faced in life. Then again, if a therapist has ever gone through such tough situations in life, perhaps, he or she can appreciate the intricacies and be able to relate more in an empathetic manner.
Having had several defining moments of life, I had my fair share of crashing through those domineering rogue waves. While life may not be handed down on a silver platter, I believe that there is certain meaning and purpose to what one experiences. There is no comparison amongst anyone's life as each of us is authentic. There is only one you and one me. For me, those good and bad times have defined me as who I am and also developed my interest in psychotherapy and counselling, to help others.
I offer practical, down-to-earth discussions with you to help you figure out issues and ways to resolve them through psychotherapy and counselling.

Approach in Practice
Often, one may be surrounded with close family members and friends, yet unable to find comfort in disclosing the inner most feelings and thoughts to them.
Understandably, you may feel exposed, vulnerable and constrained in sharing your deepest fear or anxiety or any concerns you could have with the people closest to you since certain expectations and presumption of you could have already been formed beforehand. It could well be challenging for them to help your situation as it is not about problem listening and randomly suggesting solutions based on what they think they know about you.
Issues that have been troubling you continue to persist or you may be striving to find meaning in your life that is running monotonously like a continuous non-stop engine without a direction.
I provide you the space to safely venture and liberally share your deepest thoughts and feelings and to acknowledge them freely. As a therapist who is down-to-earth with a balance of pragmatic and empathetic style, I am trained to listen constructively through non-judgemental lens and aim to help you evaluate the situation (whichever you are in) objectively and ultimately provide you with psychotherapy tools to get through. There is no immediate solution but taking the first step towards it is important.
